FEATURED SERVICES

The Children's Preschool    We are a small, family owned and loved centre, offering a bespoke early education and care service. Our program is guided by the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF), ‘Belonging, Being and Becoming’.

We are open 8:30am to 4:30pm, Monday through Friday, during NSW school terms, providing education and care for 39 children aged 3 to 5 years.

We believe in a community approach towards children’s learning and celebrate the ‘here and now’ in children’s lives, nurturing who they are becoming.

Our educators hope to provide a loving and secure relationship with every child, giving families a sense of community and leaving their children with extended family.

Our play based educational program centres on empowering children with life skills to be respectful and be responsible. Our vision that children develop empathy, learn to be compassionate, respect difference, promote equality and live happy and healthy lives towards a sustainable future for themselves and others in their journey as young global citizens.

We look forward to welcoming you as a member of our TCP Community so please contact us

All Areas Family Day Care was established in 2013.  It is a new approved service catering to the needs of the community to provide quality home-based child care in all of the Greater Sydney Suburbs.

Our Vision:  Creating a Community of Families.  “United We Grow”
Philosophy Statement: All Areas Family Day Care statement of philosophy will guide our interactions with children, Educators, staff, parents and the community.

We Believe:

  • We believe in fostering the relationships children have with their family.  We acknowledge that the family is the most important connection a child has and support them in their individual desires for their child’s care, development and learning.  We encourage all families to become involved in their child’s program on a regular basis.
  • We value the unique care opportunities that Family Day Care provides to the community and the need to offer families high quality and flexible care for their children.
  • We understand the importance and value of play in a child’s development and acknowledge that play enables children to enjoy, participate, learn, practice, experiment and learn new skills.
  • We believe in embracing the cultural diversity of the community we live in, where values, rights are respected and understanding and empathy are encouraged.  We acknowledge that cultural diversity relates to gender, ethnicity, lifestyle, customs, beliefs, backgrounds and experiences.
  • We believe that children need to be educated about the importance of the natural world and show them how to sustain natural resources, use products wisely and understand the impact we have on the world we live in.  We will focus on making a difference wherever we can, from the Coordination Unit through to the Educators’ homes.
  • We believe in the Early Years Learning Framework and uphold the ideas of Belonging, Being and Becoming as a way to create holistic approaches towards every child in care.

Learning Blocks Child Care Centre Dural

Sensory Room (0-2 Years Old)
The centre caters for babies, 0-2 years old.  Our Cot rooms provides babies a comforting and relaxing space for sleep and rest in a quiet, safe and easily supervised rooms.  The sensory rooms also provide safe and engaging indoor play spaces which allow our educators to create multiple experiences in different areas to foster each individual babies holistic development. Educators ensure a strong focus on responsiveness to babies individual needs and create a care environment that supports opportunities to bond with your child. Educators are nurturing and focus on building trust to ensure babies feel safe, secure and loved.

Discovery (2-3 Years Old)
Developmentally the children in this age group will enjoy their environment and we have created play spaces appropriate to their age group.  Our environments are aimed at promoting curiosity and exploration so that children skills can emerge and develop at their own pace. Educators use intentional teaching practices and scaffold children’s learning so they can reach their full potential. Toilet training is supported in collaboration with families to ensure their child is successful in reaching this important milestone. At this stage of development, children begin to form friendships and significant skills and interest begin to emerge. Educators are focused on fostering and cultivating children’s skills, interest and culture, as they move forward in their journey through preschool.

 Adventure (3- 6 Years Old)
As children progress through their early years and reach preschool age they begin to demonstrate greater independence and express their individuality in a range of meaningful ways. The Adventure preschool room is designed and resourced to provide opportunities for children to practice and build on their existing skills and interests. Children engage in a range of play based learning experiences (guided by the Early Years Learning Framework) to discover new understandings, to learn about themselves and make meaning of their world. Educators have a strong focus on ensuring children’s smooth transition to school by supporting learning experiences, rich in literacy and numeracy, and most importantly, to support children’s social and emotional skills so children may transition toward kindergarten with a strong and positive disposition toward learning and sustaining meaningful relationships.

Indoor and Outdoor Play Spaces
Our indoor and outdoor play spaces which has been newly built are extremely engaging for each age group.  Some highlights include open spaces, sandpits, bike track, Pirate ship in the sensory play area, tepee and a cubby house with climbing areas and slide.  These areas enable educators to create play experiences that challenge and promote exploration.

Our cubby house in the Adventure play area coupled with our log climbing structure is a fun activity that allow children to play, learn and improve gross motor skills, coordination and balance whilst they play with new found friends.

PARENT INFORMATION

Kids and Poisons

In New South Wales, every year thousands of children need medical care for poisoning from products commonly found in and around the home. Most accidental poisonings occur to children younger than five, with children aged one to three at greatest risk.

Why are children more likely to be poisoned?

Young children are exploring their world and will put anything in their mouths. They also like to imitate what others do, including taking medications.

What can be poisonous to your child?

Medicines, cleaning, laundry, gardening and car products, insecticides, perfumes, paint, plants, insects and many others.

How can you prevent a poisoning?

  • Store medicines and chemicals out of sight and reach of children, at least 1.5 metres off the ground and in a locked child resistant container.
  • Use medicines and chemicals safely. Follow given instructions and return them to safe storage immediately after use.
  • Buy products in child resistant containers and use child resistant locks on cupboards or cabinets that store poisons. You can buy these at many hardware stores.
  • Ensure all products are stored in original containers and are clearly labelled. Regularly dispose of unwanted and out of date medicines by taking them to your nearest pharmacy for safe disposal.
  • Don't call medicines 'lollies'.
  • Check that the plants in your garden are not poisonous
For more information on the prevention of poisoning, call Kids Health, The Children's Hospital at Westmead on (02) 9845 3585.
